About Sleep Centers of Texas

Sleep Centers of Texas was founded in 1989, and is one of the senior sleep disorder establishments in Dallas.

We are located on the Baylor University Medical Center Campus where we are in our 17th year.

We have performed over 11,000 sleep studies.

Our Clinical Director,Duane Slegel PHD, is Board Certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Dr.Slegel's experience includes Research Instructor at Southwestern Medical School, Graduate Research Assistant at the Sleep/Wake Disorders Clinic at Stanford University, numerous research grants and sleep articles and abstracts. Dr. Slegel's has 29 years of sleep related experience.

Our Medical Director, Joyce Shotwell MD, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Shotwell's experience includes service in the US Navy, private office practice and hospital practice. Dr. Shotwell specializes in all sleep related breathing disorders including sleep apnea and other pulmonary diseases.
